Vickers photo supplied to me over 60 years ago. I believe that the pilot was Jeffrey Quill - the "QJ-J" code was applied in his honour when the aircraft was owned by Vickers. The date is an estimate.

Delivered to the RAF as AB910 in 1941. Registered as G-AISU in 1946. Returned to the RAF in 1955 as AB910. Assigned to the Battle of Britain flight. Still airworthy in 2023.

This aircraft has changed its codes ever few years and is shown here with the codes carried in the mid 1970s. Nimrods were still under construction at that time at this airfield and one can be seen on the engine mufflers to the left of this image.
