Seen on a foggy day at East Midlands. Delivered new to Maersk as OY-APJ on 17 January 1979. Leased to Malaysian Airlines as 9M-MBZ, then Dan Air as G-BKAP. Leased to Orion from 01 November 1983 to 31 October 1984 in this hybrid colour scheme. This aircraft later flew as PP-SNO, PT-WBA, EI-CGZ, UR-BFA and PK-RIF. Noted stored at CGK on 27 February 2006 and later scrapped.

Our company Argosy looking in need of a good repaint which it eventually did into Elan colours. This plane did the overnight Shannon service. I got a jump seat flight on it. We had to climb up a ladder to get on the flight deck. On the way to Shannon we had St Elmo's Fire on the wind screen. Delivered to Riddle Airlines as N6502R on 5 Jan 1961. To Capitol Airways 1 Jul 1962 and Zantop Air Transport 1 Sep 1965. To N895U with Universal Airlines on 21 Sep 1966. Sold to Sagittair 28 Feb 1972. Delivered new to BEA on 16 May 1958. It went through various UK operators as G-AOYP before becoming G-PBFT with British World Airlines on 06 April 1993. Sold to Heli-Lift in Johannesburg where it arrived on 26 May 1997. Stored by 2001, it was scrapped on 20 April 1996 with the front part going to a restaurant.
