Not being APU equipped starting up a 707 was a cumbersome affair as after detachment of the GPU some poor soul had to crawl beneath the fuselage to the wingroot to disconnect and retrieve the air starter hose while the engines were already running.

Bavaria introduced a workday Munich-Nuremberg-Munich Jetstream schedule offering 11 seats on 7 January 1970, the image probably being taken at a promotional event before. After the loss of their sole aircraft the route was suspended before being taken over by Cimber Air in summer 1970.
