Delivered to the USAAF in July 1940 as 39-51. Became NX61Y in Apr 1945 and served with the Great Lakes Carbon Corp. (GLC) from Aug 1950 until Jan 1953. Later to N34C, N534C, N230SU and N534J. Traded with the USAF Museum in May 1971 and loaned to the Pima mueum in 1973. Originally displayed in its faded last civil livery as N534J, but fully restored in the nice Great Lakes Carbon Corp. colours in 2007 and rolled-out as such on 15 Aug 2007. Note the small GLC logo on the tail, which was carried by all GLC aircraft.

Built as S-3A and delivered to the US Navy in 1978 as 160604. Transferred to VS-31, USS Dwight D Eisenhower by 1990. Converted to S-3B after November 1990. Assigned AMARc code 2S0070 in November 2004. Left the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) in April 2005 and and went to Pima in 2006.

Served with the US Navy as 160713. Transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number 6A0395 in June 1991. Relocated to Pima between June 1991 and 1996.

Built as an L-23D, delivered to the US Army around 1956 as 56-3701. Later redesignated as U-8D. Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number UB0076 in August 1979. By 1991 it was located at Pima in the markings 0-63701, AL-NG of the Alabama Army National Guard. Between August 1991 and 1996, the markings you see in this photo were applied.

One of only 3 model B-52's that were built and the oldest B-52 in existence. Delivered to the USAF in September 1954 as 52-0003. Converted to JB-52A in December 1955. Converted to NB-52A in October 1957, modified for launching X-15's. Transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number BC108 in October 1969. Loaned to Pima in August 1981. Photographed under restoration in March 2020.

Delivered to Inter-Island Airways in January 1937 as NC16934. To Alaska Airlines in July 1949 as N16934. Damaged and sank in Chignik Bay, Alaska (not Tetlin Lake as widely reported) on 1 June 1951. Cancelled as destroyed that same month. Often reported as becoming N326, but this is not correct (N326 was c/n 4342). Wreck salvaged from Chignik Bay by Gary Larkins in 1981 and donated to the US Marine Corps Air-Ground Museum that same year, then to Pima in 1985. By August 1991 the markings '2-MJ-4' were applied. The markings visible in this photo are fake (the real 1061 was c/n 4344) and were applied in the late 1990s or in early 2000.

Built as a P2V-7 and delivered to the US Navy in September 1955 as 135620. Converted to a P2V-7S in 1960. Converted to an AP-2H in 1967, modified for use in Vietnam under project TRIM (Trails and Roads Interdiction Mulitsensor). Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 1P0197 in June 1975. To Pima that same month.

Delivered to the US Navy in May 1956 as 140481. Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 5T0027 in December 1974. Loaned to Pima by the National Naval Aviation Museum in March 1977.

Built as a KC-97G and delivered to the USAF around 1952 as 52-2626. Converted to C-97G, marked as 0-22626 and put on display. Registered HB-ILY and listed as owned by the International Red Cross/Belair Air Lines in March 1969. Used for famine relief operation Biafra (Nigeria) between March 1969 and March 1970. Assigned to Davis-Monthan for storage and transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number CH0439. Later to Pima, where it was restored. The vertical stabilizer was replaced with the one from 52-2759.

Delivered to Prairie Airways (Canada) in June 1938 as CF-BKN. To Lodwick Aircraft Industries in March 1946 as N55681. Transferred to Pima in June 1977, registration cancelled in May 1981.

Built as an A3D-1, in service with the US Navy as 130361. Based at various bases in its life. Converted to an A3D-1Q in July 1955. Redesignated as YEA-3A in 1962. Converted to an EA-3A in April 1963. To the Us Army in April 1963, also as 130361. Retired by the Army in January 1964, back to the Navy in March 1969. Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 2A0039 in September 1969. To the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, loaned to Pima. Restored in the markings of the Naval Air Testing Center, Patuxent River NAS, in 1969.

Constructed as a S2F-1, delivered to the US Navy in April 1956 as 136468. Converted to S2F-1S in October 1959. Redesignated as S-2F in November 1962. Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 1S0154 in September 1969. Loaned to Pima in February 1962, where it was displayed in the markings of Naval Air Station Grosse Ile, Grosse Ile, Michigan in 1968 (seen in this photo).

Delivered to the the USAF as 63-7998 in November 1963. Assigned to the 91st Bombardment (Heavy) Wing (Strategic Air Command), Glasgow AFB (NOV 1963), 310th Strategic Aerospace Wing (SAC), Schilling AFB (JUN 1964), 92nd Strategic Aerospace Wing (SAC), Fairchild AFB (JAN 1966), 22nd Bombardment (H) Wing (SAC), March AFB (APR 1966), 376th Strategic Wing (SAC), Kadena (APR 1989) and 92nd Wing (Air Combat Command), Dyess AFB (1992). Transferred to the MASDC with inventory number CA0100 in May 1994. To NASA in NOV 1994. Used for research regarding weightlessness. To Pima in December 2001.

the aircraft entered service with the US Navy in October 1944 as 39307. the type was designated as C-93. To National Skyway Freight/Flying Tiger Line in July 1945 as NC33308. Not taken up by Aerovias Q as CU-C-495. To an unknown owner around 1948 as XB-DUZ. Seized in the mid-1960's for smuggling at Douglas-Bisbee (KDUG). It was placed in open storage at Douglas for a long time before being sold at an auction. The buyer donated the frame to the museum. In March 2020 it was photographed in pieces in the restoration area.

The aircraft was in service with the US Navy as 15051. Transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number 2P0190 in May 2003. By 2007, it was relocated to Pima.

Delivered to the USAF around 1952 as 52-1004. Transferred to the 61st Military Airlift Wing at Hickham AFB with periodic detachments to Tachikawa AB, Japan between June 1966 and April 1971. Transferred to the 911th Military Airlift Group in Pittsburgh, PA. Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number CQ334 in August 1973. Loaned to the museum and put on display there in December 1973. The person underneath the nose gives a nice size comparison.

Entered service with the US Navy in February 1945 as 69472. to Frontier Airways between 1963 and 1964 as N9593C, operating as fire service 'D5'. Acquired by the museum by 1983 and painted in the markings of the T-1 (Navy Torpedo Squadron 1) on the USS Essex CV-9 circa 1944.

Constructed as a HOK-1, but redesignated OH-43D around 1962. Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number 5H0003 in February 1965. By 1991 it was acquired by the Pima Air & Space Museum and received ' Marines' colors and WB-7 marking. By September 2011 the aircraft received the paint that you see in this photo.

Constructed as an UH-2B and used by the US Navy as 150155. Later redesignated as SH-2F. Eventually transferred to the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center (AMARC) with inventory number 8H0003. To the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola (FL) as N8062J. Loaned to Pima and restored in the markings as seen in the photo.

Constructed as a B-18A and used by the US Army Air Force in October 1939 as 38-593. converted to a B-18B in July 1942. Retired by the Army Air Force in February 1945. To a private owner in August 1946 as NC66267. Converted to a cargo aircraft around 1947/1948. In its life, the aircraft served as passenger aircraft, agricultural sprayer (around 1952) and fire bomber (1954-1970), everything as N66267. To the (then) Pima Air Museum in September 1976. Initially on display in bare metal as N66267, but restored in the 1990s and displayed in the markings of the 5th Antisubmarine Wing, 4th Antisubmarine Squadron, Langley AAF, VA, in July 1942.
