Air Atonabee was acquired by Victor Pappalardo in 1984 and renamed City Express. A pair of DHC Dash 7's (including C-GGXS, ex-4X-AHB) from Arkia Israel Airlines launched commuter service between Toronto Island Airport (YTZ), Ottawa (YOW) and Montreal (YUL). City Express ceased operations in Feb. 1991, but C-GGXS went to Pappalardo's Trans Capital Airlines and later flew for the UN. It was one of seven Trans Capital Dash 7s sold to Air Tindi in March 2021. At least five Dash 7s are still parked at YTZ (2 x Trans Capital & 3 x Air Tindi) near the relocated 1939 airport terminal building.

This privately owned Van's RV-6A was visiting YTZ from its base at London Airport (CYXU).

Operated by FLYGTA which was founded in 2015 at Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport and initially started flying short haul commuter services to communities within a one to two hour drive of downtown Toronto, such as Niagara District Airport. This 1978 model Beech King Air B100 was first imported by Centennial Flight Centre in May 2000 as C-GGKJ and later flew with Alta Flights (2003-2010). It was reimported to Canada by FLYGTA fleet in March 2022 as C-FTFT and often flies the airline's longer Toronto-Kingston, Ontario route.

Operated by FLYGTA which was founded in 2015 at Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport and started operating short haul commuter airline services to communities within a one to two hour drive of downtown Toronto. (GTA = Greater Toronto Region). The airline's aircraft fleet and routes changed during Covid 19 but now include service from downtown Toronto to Niagara District Airport, Muskoka Airport and Kingston Airport. This 1979 model Cessna 207A was imported to Canada in 1983 and joined the FLYGTA fleet in August 2019.

This is one of 12 Leonardo AW139 helicopters operated in the province of Ontario by the Ornge air ambulance service landing at CYTZ after an EMS mission. C-GYNK was assembled at the AgustaWestland facility at Northeast Philadelphia Airport and imported to Canada in September 2010. It was initially operated on contract by Canadian Helicopters until Ornge obtained an Air Operators Certificate and hired its own crews. Canadian (and its predecessors CHC, Okanagan, Dominion Pegasus and Toronto Helicopters) operated the Ontario Ministry of Health's EMS helicopter fleet between 1978 and 2012.

Pilot Joe Hughes and professional trapeze artist John Kazian revived the air show wing walking act that was popular in the 1930s. Rebuilding wartime Kaydet 42-17347 to a 600 HP Wasp powered Super Stearman, the pair took their daring act across the USA and Canada.

Operated by Curtiss Flying School which had its flying boat school at Hanlan's Point in the Toronto Islands. The site of the school is now within the boundaries Billy Bishop City airport, which was built about 20 years after the school closed. Winter view of Toronto Island and the airport named after Canadian WW I fighter ace William Avery Bishop. During WW II, the airport hosted the Norwegian Air Forces in exile and their Little Norway training camp.

This Dash 8-400 entered service in Dec. 2007 with Lynx Aviation Inc. flying on behalf of parent company Frontier Airlines as N504LX. In Aug. 2009, Frontier and Lynx were purchased by Republic Airlines which shut down Lynx in Sep. 2010. When AC contracted newly-formed Sky Regional Airlines the rights to fly Air Canada Express service between Montreal (YUL) and Toronto (YTZ), five ex-Lynx Q400s were acquired and registered in the C-FSRx series. Jazz Aviation took over the ACE route and the Sky Regional Q400 leases in Mar. 2017, flying C-FSRW fleet wide until returned to the lessor in Nov. 2020

In late May 2007, the Toronto Aerospace Museum hosted a 60th anniversary DHC-2 Beaver homecoming and symposium in the original de Havilland Aircraft of Canada factory where the Beaver was born. Viking Aircraft flew this aircraft (recovered from the Pima Air Museum and converted to a Turbo Beaver) from Victoria to Downsview to attend the homecoming and it became the "star" of the TV documentary "The Immortal Beaver" (which can now be viewed on YouTube https://youtu.be/b2hZe9ToaEI ). It's seen here landing in Toronto harbour with the CN Tower in the background.
