This Dagger saw a fair amount of European service, having been based at Bitburg, Ramstein and Soesterberg prior to 1964. With a total of nine different operating squadrons to its credit, last flew in 1976 with the Hawaii ANG 199th FIS and now preserved at the Travis museum in the markings of the 82nd FIS (one of the units it served, at Travis, before USAFE), having been carried there aboard a C-5

Delivered new to Hawaiian in November 1967, serving until sold to Hughes Airwest in May 1976 as N911RW. Later to Northwest Airlines.

Built as a Convair 340 and served Ansett from February 1955 as VH-BZE. To Hawaiian as N5511K in April 1959 and converted to CV640 'Jet Powered Convair' in June 1966. Sold in December 1971.

Braniff's pale green Boeing 707 is operating a trooping flight to South Vietnam for the US Army. It served BN from June 1966 until sale in November 1971 to Varig as PP-VLJ.

Among the fourteen YS-11's in storage at Honolulu in 1988 was this N121MP, a former Mandala Airlines aircraft (ex PK-RYY). It was bought by Mid Pacific Airlines in December 1987, but never entered service with them. Still carrying the Mandala tail colours and no titles, it remained in storage here until Nov 1989, when it was sold in Mexico as XA-RPF.

In September 1988 no less than fourteen NAMC YS-11's were stored at Honolulu. They were all owned by Mid Pacific Air, although only eleven actually carried their titles. This N103MP, named "Melanie Valencia", was one of them. This aircraft was sold to Mexico as XA-RQU in 1989, and withdrawn from use two years later. It ended up in storage at Durango, and had almost certainly been scrapped by 2010.

How it all began - in DHL's infancy, they specialised in carrying documents from the Hawaiian islands. Aircraft became N102DH in 9.83 and ended up derelict at Manila with Asean Air. It was still there as of late 2010 but eventually scrapped

First flying in 1937, there were 32 main variants of the Beechcraft model 18; it is the most modified US-certified aircraft design ever with over 200 FAA-approved Supplemental Type Certificates. This was one of many tricycle undercarriage developments. Established in 1971, Panorama Air Tour offered sightseeing services around the Hawaiian Islands, mainly covering Oahu, Kauai, Lanai and Molokai

Beginning life as an R4D-7 with the USN in 3.45, this aircraft was acquired by the CAA (later FAA) in 1957 and registered N36 in 1963. Later being used by the DoA and DoT. Derelict by the time of this shot, she was sold to Genavco in 1994 and cancelled from the register in 2000, possibly being blown up for the filming of "Pearl Harbor"

One of the fourteen YS-11's in storage at Honolulu in 1988 was N109MP, pictured here against a typical Hawaiian backdrop of green hills and mountains and towering clouds. This aircraft was purchased in 1983 and withdrawn from service in July 1988. It was broken up during 1992-1993.
