Huskie operated by the 40 Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron's Detachment 2 based at RAF Lakenheath. Military Airlift Command's badge is on the rear fuselage side.

Taken soon after delivery to RAF Bentwaters, Suffolk, for operation by the based 81 Tactical Fighter Wing. It retains the all-grey factory finish and buzz code FJ-855.

C-117D of Naval Air Facility Mildenhall at its home base. The USN C-117D's were unique in having had three c/ns - this one was originally R4D-6 15431/26876 but was given 43322 on rebuild to C-117D in 1951. 50821 is now preserved at Pensacola. Sister ship 17171 is in the background.

The well-known NAF Mildenhall Super Dak at the annual Open House. On 21.11.73 the aircraft encountered severe icing over Iceland during a local supply flight, making it impossible to maintain height, so the crew elected to make a forced landing on a frozen river. The ice broke but 171 stayed afloat. After recovery the remains were abandoned and are still there topped by ice and snow
