C-117D of Naval Air Facility Mildenhall at its home base. The USN C-117D's were unique in having had three c/ns - this one was originally R4D-6 15431/26876 but was given 43322 on rebuild to C-117D in 1951. 50821 is now preserved at Pensacola. Sister ship 17171 is in the background. This photo is copyright © R.A.Scholefield, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
