Big air shows are often a question of endurance... you wait and wait and wait for the shot to be free of people just meandering by... eventually my patience snapped and I took the shot.

The Legend of the Golden Hind is a very important part of Hungarian folklore. The representation of the mythical beast on this helicopter makes for a very dramatic impression.

Within seconds after taking this shot, the student pilot did a good job of hovering and landing

Arriving at Glasgow from Shannon where this Globespan 737 was painted into Oman Air colours for it's lease to that airline. After fuelling up the aircraft left one hour later for Muscat.

The partner country for the ILA 2008 airshow was India. Therefore, the super 'Sarang' (Peacock in English) helicopter display team were invited to take part. J4042 was one of the team of four that formed the flying display.
