At the time of this photo the aircraft was assigned to the 15ABW/65AS

Delivered new to the RMAF in January of 1977 carrying serial FM-1720. It was then re-serialled to M23-16 in 1984 and is reported to have briefly carried civilian registration 9M-ZAR in 2008 (for modification and certification work?). A total of 16 RMAF S-61's were written off over the years, with M23-16 being the last one, suffering a hard landing on August 2, 2019. Actually, this very accident - luckily without loss of life - sealed the fate of the surviving 12 or so RMAF's Nuris, as the fleet was permanently grounded. Keeping them airworthy has become an issue in the previous years anyway.

Became G-SAJT in 2019

The Royal Malaysian Air Force (Tentara Udara Diraja Malaysia - TUDM) operates two VIP S-70's since 1997. The 2nd is M46-02 (c/n in doubt) and even though staffed by RMAF personnel, both helicopters are under the direct control of - and take orders from - the Prime Minister's Office. There were plans in 2015 that both helis would be transferred back to the RMAF and join four ex Brunei DF S-70's which were about to be handed over to Malaysia, but the deal with Brunei fell through. Note the external fuel tanks.

Sold as YL-DAW in April 2013 and then became UR-CMG in April 2014.

Ex OM-NSH with Slovak Airlines, restored to N606TW in October 2005 but then sold as PR-BRV in June 2006. Subsequently N606TW and leased to the Italian Air Force before finally being withdrawn from use in 2011.

Became S2-ADW in 2007 and then scrapped in 2014.
