Built in 1981 and here wearing yellow hardware store type stick-on decals for the registration. It later became N906BA and was cancelled as expired in 2019, possibly as a result of a training accident at Linden/NJ on 17 June 2010.

A deployment of 77 Sqn Mirage IIIs from Williamtown seen here visiting the RAAF base. The RAAF no longer bases aircraft at Townsville. However there is a substantial Army presence with the 5th Aviation Regiment based there.

This photograph was taken at Parafield prior to restoration. The aircraft was designed by Clem Reginald Sheppard in the 1930s. Clem was born in October 1914. When he left school he joined the family business, Sheppards Jewellers of Adelaide, and trained as a watchmaker. As a young man he developed a keen interest in aviation. In the early 1930s he designed and built a glider (the CS1).

A8-113 was one of four F-111As purchased from the USAF in 1982 and modified to F-111C standard. As 67-0113 it had been a combat veteran and flew the last F-111 mission of the Vietnam War. The RAAF retired it in 2010 and it is now displayed as Aviation Historical Society of the Northern Territory, Darwin.
