XT273 at left went on to the RAF and was retired in 1991. XV359 at right also went to the RAF and returned to the RN in 1994 as ground trainer A2693 at Predannick then went on display at Culdroes before being acquired by a private buyer in Devon in 2005

This was the third prototype of what became known as the Buccaneer, displayed at the entrance to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton until taken into storage in 2001

Of this quartet of FRADTU Sea Vixens, the lead aircraft later became a target tug in the bright yellow and red colours of the RAE at Llanbedr, and is now preserved in the Vallance collection near the end of Gatwick's runway. The other three are XN696, XP925 & XP954

Delivered to Lossiemouth for 807 NAS in 11.59 and later with 736 and 800 NAS on Ark Royal. After a short period of research work with the RAE, joined the FRU at Hurn in 11.66 and retired to the FAA museum in 9.69. Now displayed as part of the carrier exhibition inside

Although the Wyvern was designed as a turboprop-powered carrier-based strike aircraft, VR137 was built in 1947 at Yeovil as the seventh and last preproduction TF.Mk.1. It was the sole one fitted with a 2,690 hp Rolls-Royce Eagle 22 24-cylinder sleeve valve flat-H piston engine, but was never flown. Of the 127 built, this is the only survivor
