VA-122 was on a carrier qualification detachment aboard the USS Lexington in the Gulf of Mexico and using NAS Kingsville as a staging area and divert base. This A-7E was transferred to AMARC from VA-205 on 13 June 1988. Stricken and sent for scrapping in September 2005.

VA-122 Carrier Qualification detachment. Staging out of NAS Kingsville while conducting operations on USS Lexington which was offshore in the Gulf of Mexico.

This war horse was in the thick of the fighting dropping airborne troops and gliders into Normandy on D-Day and D-Day +1. Later more of the same for Operation Market Garden at Nijmegen, Groesbeek and Grave. Irving Oil of New Brunswick imported it in 1970 and here it has just joined Ilford-Riverton Airways. In 1981 it was exported to Columbia.

Licence built DH.112 Sea Venom, constructed by Sud-Est. Ex 16F fighter squadron. Exhibited at the gate of Lann-Bihoue. Now stored elsewhere.

Procured by USAAF as 42-84542. Served with US Navy as BuAer 43981 before supply to the Aeronavale. Displayed on the gate at Lorient Lann-Bihoue.
