This example is actually 28219, but painted to represent an F15 aircraft. Note the red squadron insignia on the wall. The insignia in the middle is that of 1. Division's technical company, 1. komp F15. The two others are those of 1. Divison. The black hand on left was used from the early 1960s until it was replaced by Attackix around 1978.

A lot can be said for the F15 Flygmuseum at Söderhamn. Although somewhat crowded as this photo shows, the museum has creadted dioramas that clearly show unique features either with the aircraft or the unit. In this case, with the long-legged push-propellor J 21, they illurstrate the early adoption of ejector seats on the type. The first test of the seat developed by Bofors took place in 1943 with the first ejection from flight took place in July 1946. The aircraft carries the colours of 1. Divisionen of F15 Hälsinge flygflottilj which was based at Söderhamn.

Austria had been a neutral country during the Cold War and so when the requirement for a new jet fighter arose in the early 1980s they bought used Drakens from Sweden, also a neutral country. After further upgrades including a self-defence system, the type entered service with the Austria air force in 1985 as J35Ö (for Österreich/Austria). Austria finally retired its Drakens in 2005. This example is now on display at the Arboga Robotmuseum, which mainly showcases the Swedish Armed Forces' robotic systems and engines (maintained in Arboga) from the late 1940s until the 2000s,

This An-2 was originally registered to the Lithuanian directorate of Aeroflot as CCCP-84637 in April 1981. The plane became LY-AER in January 1992 and was used for the next years as a parachute jump ship until the CoA expired in May 2001. The plane is now preserved (stored?) at ESSE and, apparently, painted to resemble a Westland 'Lysander'.

This An-2 was originally registered to the Lithuanian directorate of Aeroflot as CCCP-84637 in April 1981. The plane became LY-AER in January 1992 and was used for the next years as a parachute jump ship until the CoA expired in May 2001. The plane is now preserved (stored?) at ESSE and, apparently, painted to resemble a Westland 'Lysander'.

This Flug Werk 190 was built at Ingolstadt - Manching (ETSI) and was the 21st of the type to be completed. The plane then underwent an extensive flight test programme as D-FWSE before being ferried to Sweden in June 2017. Due to regulatory requirements the FW-190 (note the capital FW designation is a deliberate differentiator from the Fw used by the Focke-Wulf WWII originals) had to adopt a Swedish registration, whilst the owners work towards an airworthiness clearance. In the meantime the plane provides an interesting new exhibit to be viewed during the normal opening hours.
