Of the 150 Seastars built for the USN, only two are known to survive. Based on the T-33, they featured a raised instructor's seat improving visibility, more powerful engine and strengthening to allow carrier use. This one flew support roles for NAS Quonset Point, RI and was retired to the Boneyard in 1970

Beautifully restored to the Blue Angels colours it wore with the team between 1967 and 1969 and keeping company with two other genuine aerobatic team aircraft alongside, a Thunderbirds F-4 and a Red Arrows Hawk. Prior to the refurbishment, it was displayed in the white colours in which it finished its career, used by Grumman as chase plane for another F-11 performing in-flight thrust reverser testing between 1973 and 1975

The USAF introduced the T-28 in 1950, the Navy following three years later. The Navy version of the aircraft, the T-28B, differed from the Air Force version primarily in having a bigger engine and a three-blade propeller instead of two-blade. The T-28C added a tail hook for carrier landing training and remained in service till 1984. This one served VT-3 then VT-6, NAS Whiting Field, FL from 1971 till being stored at DM from the end of 1974

In the early 1960s, a dozen F-8As were converted to DF-8F drone controllers for use on the Navy's various target ranges. This one retains the 1964 colours of Utility Squadron 8 (VU-8), NAS Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico. The last of the Crusaders left navy service in 1987.

Although the Cougar retained the F9F designation that had been used by the Panther, it was a substantially new design, of which approaching 2,000 of several versions were built. This one started out as an F9F-8 delivered to the USN in September 1955 and after serving two fighter squadrons, was modified in 1957 to F9F-8B to carry nuclear weapons. After serving various attack squadrons, it was redesigned from AF-9J to TAF-9J in 1966 with VT-23 at NAAS Kingsville, TX, in whose marks it remains on display having been withdrawn from service in 1970

A total of 649 T-33As were diverted from USAF production and were redesignated from TV-2 to T-33B in 1962, but they were identical to the Air Force version and used as land-based trainers. By 1957 when production ended, some 3,180 Skyraiders were built in eight major models and 37 variants. The larger fuselage of the AD-5 allowed modification into a four-seat electronic countermeasures aircraft designated AD-5Q, redesignated EA-IF in 1962. A total of 420 Skyrays were built, taking advantage of delta-wing design research captured from Germany at the end of WWII and serving from 1956 till 1964. It was the first Navy aircraft to exceed Mach 1 in level flight. The livery is that of the Douglas Aircraft Testing Division as it was in 1961. Previously displayed aboard the USS Intrepid museum in New York.

This Demon is actually Bu Aer 145221 and is displayed in the markings of VF-13 with the serial and coding for 143492 aboard USS Shangri-La in 1963. It appears that 145221 served VF-31 and VF-14 before also joining VF-13. Why Pima chose to alter the identity is unclear.

The B-50 entered service in 1947 with some 370 being built. As they were replaced by more modern equipment, many were converted for use as tankers by Tactical Air Command by the removal of armament and fitment of extra tankage in the fuselage and under the wings. To keep up with the increasing demands from the jets they were serving, the external tanks were replaced by two J47 turbojets. As such, they soldiered on well into the 1960s until fully replaced by KC-97s and moreover KC-135s
