Fiat designed the G.80 for the same role as the T-33, but performance fell short despite good handling in flight. After two prototypes, three preproduction aircraft followed. This is the second one of those, with a forward fuselage part of a G.82, a further development that did not enter production either.

Ambrosini took its 1939 S.7 racing aircraft as a starting point to develop a small series of experimental airplanes. This started with the implementation of swept wings and tail surface in the early 1950s, followed by fitting a jet engine to the still wooden taildragger airframe. The resulting Sagittario (Archer) was then followed in 1956 by this all-metal Sagittario 2 with tricycle gear. This was the first Italian aircraft to break through Mach 1. On display is the second prototype, a static test frame.

The Ariete was the follow-up to Aerfer's Sagittario 2 and the final model of a line that started with the 1939 wooden, taildragging S.7 racing aircraft. The main difference with Sagittario 2 was the added secondary engine, with retractable dorsal air intake and tail exhaust. Test flight results in March 1958 were unsatisfactory and construction was abandoned after this second prototype.

The type lost a competition for a second level trainer to the Fiat G.49, which in turn was beaten by the T-6 in the end. Only two prototypes were built, this one seeing the light as I-RAIE in 1952. Became I-AMAC, then MM554 of the RSV as it is displayed now in full markings. Showing the very good access to the P&W Wasp engine.

The type was the first all-metal trainer for the AMI, its development heavily dependent on foreign sales. Especially an order from Argentina for 70 aircraft, including this one, made the difference. Later, this airplane served with the Syrian and Austrian forces as well, before returning to Italy as I-AELM with the Air Defence Ministry in 1964. Was restored to taxiing condition and displayed as such in 2007 at Pratica di Mare.

Trainer, liaison and tourism aircraft, signature product of the Fratelli Nardi (Nardi Brothers) aircraft company. Like many others, this one was built by Piaggio and became I-DASM of various aeroclubs. Eventually restored and painted in Regia Aeronautica livery by the Rome chapter of the Group of Historic Aircraft Friends and made available for display here.

This 'Sparviero' is one of two recovered from Lebanon, the other being on display in the Caproni Museum at Trento. A third one, being restored in Italy, completes the trio of only survivors of the type. A very fast and agile medium (torpedo) bomber, it stems from an early 1930s design for a fast passenger transport. Posing in full WW2 markings of the 278th Torpedo Bombing Squadron as 'MM24327'. Its real identity was L-112 of the Lebanese air force, ex MM45508.

One of two MC.202s still in existence, displayed in an operational setting. Despite some shortcomings it was a feared opponent, especially in dogfights. In full markings of the 4°Stormo, which adopted both the name and stallion emblem of WW1 ace Francesco Baracca. Serial not seen on the outside.
