This was one of sixty-six T3 weapon system trainers built under licence by Dornier at Oberpfaffenhofen for the Luftwaffe and the type remained in service until 1982. Now she is one of the exhibits at the super Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr Gatow.

The accident rate of the F-104 was rather high, especially in GAF service where it acquired the moniker 'Widowmaker'. Many of the problems could be overcome by better training of the pilots, understandable as they were flying a plane with almost no wing. Of the 158 examples built of the two-seat, training TF-104G version 104 were operated by the GAF. Fortunately one of these is now preserved at the Luftwaffenmuseum at Gatow.

This Gannet was originally intended for the Fleet Air Arm as XG849 but was never delivered, rather transferred to the Bundesmarine as UA110 (UA+110). She now wears the fake serial UA+106 as part of the super Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr at Gatow.

This Hind-F is the twin canon mounted version of this gunship, although they have been removed from this example on display at the Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr at Gatow. She was allocated the GAF serial 96+43 upon unification but served previously with the NVA as 387 and these marking are still visible.

This Flogger flew with the LSK/LV as 105 before being allocated the GAF serial 20+63 upon unification. She now spends her retirement as part of the Luftwaffenmuseum at Gatow.

This Lightning was delivered to 19 Squadron in 1963. After upgrade to F2A standard she was transferred to 92 Squadron at Gütersloh and served until retirement in 1976. Fortunately she has ended up in the super Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr at Gatow.

This aircraft served previously with the NVA as '369' before being transferred to the GAF upon unification and finally ending up as the superb Luftwaffenmuseum.

This exhibit at the Luftwaffemuseum has now been restored to her previous NVA identity when she served with the ZDK33 at Peenemunde as a target tug. After unification she was allocated the GAF serial 2848 (28+48).

The Mi-9 was the airborne command variant of the Hip-C with additional radar and comms capability. This example was one of eight delivered to East Germany and served in the NVA as '411' with KHG-5 'Adolf von Lützow' in Basepohl. Withdrawn from service in Oct 1990 she was allocated the GAF serial 93+92 and has ended up in the Luftwaffenmuseum der Bundeswehr.

This Fishbed served with the NVA in JG-9 but was retired in 1975 due to technical problems and became an instructional airframe at OHS Kamenz. Fortunately she is now preserved at the super Luftwaffenmuseum at Gatow.

This Flogger flew after 1983 as 333 with JG-9 'Heinrich Rau' based in Peenemunde. After unification she was allocated the GAF serial 20+13 and has ended up in the super Luftwaffenmusem at Gatow.
