1951-built biplane. For many years it was the smallest flyable aircraft. Span 7 feet 2 inches. Length 11 feet 4 inches. 666 lbs loaded weight. On loan from the NASM for display.

Gene Soucy's Pitts Special is now preserved in the foyer of the EAA Airventure Museum.

1929 built tandem two-seat biplane powered by a Kinner K-5 engine. 18 examples were completed.

This EAA operated aircraft is actually ex 44-85740, one of 2750 B-17's built by Lockheed Vega at Burbank. I flew aboard her for a trip over the Oshkosh Show and back to Appleton.

Customised 1928-built aircraft wearing "Johnny Livington Special" titling on its engine cowling.

Small jet engine manufacturer Williams International had Burt Rutan's Scaled Composites design and build the V-Jet II as a test bed and technical demonstrator. First flown in 1997, Eclipse Aviation was founded a year later to continue the concept and developed the design into the Eclipse 500. The sole V-Jet II was donated to the Experimental Aircraft Association Museum in 2001.

One of several ex-Spanish Air Force Buchons that participated in the 1969 film "Battle of Britain". After shooting, aerial coordinator Wilson "Connie" Edwards acquired several aircraft from the movie and donated this aircraft to the EAA Museum in 1979.

Manufactured from composite materials and with its propeller fitted behind the tail unit.

Built in 1927 and fitted with an OX-5 engine. Post-war fitted with Continental W670 engine and maintained airworthy. I flew in it this day when it was 79 years old. This type was used on internal US Air Mail Route C.A.M.5 in the late 1920s. and it wears Fleet No. 3 to record that era.

1932 racing aircraft designed and built by Art Chester.

This Jungmeister originally belonged to Spanish aviator Col. José Luis Aresti Aguire. In the middle 1960's it was found in an aircraft junkyard in Spain by aerobatic pilot Mike Murphy. He bought it from Aguire and shipped it to the USA. It was rebuilt during 1966-67 where the 160hp Siemens-Bramo Sh 14A engine was replaced with a 185hp Warner Super Scarab engine. It flew again 26 July 1967. On 5 May 1973 it was handed over the EAA Museum. This aircraft is normally given as a Dornier-built Bü-133 with cn 31 but that is incorrect as that was still HB-MKE when that crashed in 1972 in Switzerland. This must be a CASA 1.133L, but the real c/n is not known.

Designed by Max Harlow in 1938 whilst he was an instructor at the Pasadena Junior College in California, hence the PJC designation. This was the sixth of 11 built of this all-metal retractable u/c design. Several were impressed by the USAAF in WW2 as UC-80 communications aircraft. This example served the CAA as NC15.

1929-built airworthy Travelair E-4000 used to give flights to visitors to Oshkosh.

Two-seater designed by Steve Wittman in 1938 powered by a Continental C85. The EAA museum listing describes this aircraft as being an original build airframe.

The prototype of the S-C series (Sports-Coupe), built in 1937. Modified with a 145 h.p. Warner Super Scarab to become the first of the 13 SCW-145 aircraft to be completed pre-war.
