Built in 1980, delivered to Aeroflot's Tyumen division and transferred to Tyumen Avia Trans in May 1993. Seen at IEV as UR-26012 on overhaul in September 1996, then registered ST-AOF before returning to Tyumen Avia Trans as RA-26012 by the time of this photo. Back in Africa, it was noted at JNB on 7th July 2002 but was w/o two days later on approach to Antalya on a positioning flight from Asmara and Hurgada. The crew mistook road lighting for the runway lights and hit a power-line mast during a late go-around

First registered as CCCP-65720 on 24.10.59 and changed to identity now carried on 30.5.72. Canx 1973 and placed on display outside this terminal in the far north of Siberia where in summer you can still take photos with sunshine at 11pm

This 1978 Mi-6 was cancelled on 12 January 1999 and was reportedly broken up. By 2006 another Mi-6 (c/n 0429) was painted up with the same registration "RA-21050" (fake) and placed on display elsewhere at Salekhard.

Up here on the Arctic Circle it doesn't get dark in summer till very late. Aircraft operated by the Soviet/Russian government from new in 8.83 until a year before this late evening view, apart from a period with Greenair as TC-GRD 1990-92. Broken up at Tyumen in 2012

An-24s were a very rare sight in the smart colours of Yamal as they didn't generally venture out of northern Siberia. This one was delivered to Aeroflot's West Siberia division in 1974 and transferred to Aerokuznetsk in 1994 and Yamal by 2000. Active until 2015 but scrapped at Tyumen following year

First registered to Aeroflot in 1977 and now in store with Yamal, whose attractive livery she first wore after acquisition in 1998
