Parked in the storage area at the moment is this Dassault Mirage 5R 722—an ex-Belgium Air Force airframe.

The third DC-3/C-47 on display at the Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio in Chile is this aircraft CC-CLDT. This DC-3 was delivered to the USAAF on May 12, 1944, and it was assigned to the India-China theater. After the war, it was registered as N8326C. On February 1954 was bought it by LAN Chile. Its first registration was CC-CBJ and later was assigned CC-CLDT and finally on December 1962, get its final registration as CC-CBX.

The only Lockheed SP-2H Neptune left in Chile is on display at the Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio. It was used for firefighting. (ex N703AU)

This DC-3 flew as LV-ADF for Aeroposta Argentina after its military service. Built as a C-47A-90-DL Skytrain with serial number 43-15692 for the USAAF. Today it is part of the Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio collection in Chile.

One aircraft I was looking forward to seeing was the Mirage Pantera. One of two on display 503 and the aircraft here the two-seater 515.

Remanufactured by Beech from T-11 42-37309 c/n 3874 to C-45H 52-10851 for the USAF in 1954. To N9136Z then to the Chilean Air Force as 481. To the Museum by 1996. In worse condition than in the photo I took four years earlier. Preserved at Punta Arenas by 2004.
