Photographer: Clive Head. K64 slide scan. Built 1957 for BEA, merged into British Airways 1974. BAF 1981, leased to Oasis Oil Co., Polar Airways and Euroair. Acquired by Euroair as G-BLNB 1984 and leased to Tunisavia. Reverted to BAF 1985, renamed British World 1993. Reregistered G-OPFI 1994 operating for Royal Mail Parcelforce. Sold 1999 as 3D-PFI and flown to Wonderboom, subsequently registered TU-VAB, 3D-PFI and 9Q-COD. Withdrawn Lubumbashi by 2011 and scrapped by 2015.

Just a month after acquisition from BA, this Viscount was contracted out to Oasis Oil (note Libyan flag on rear fuselage). The basic scheme is the very early version used by BAF complete with the yellow cockpit coaming which didn't last long at all. Last used in the UK as G-OPFI by Parcelforce, she was exported to Africa in 8.99 as 3D-PFI, changing hands under the marks 5V-TTP, TU-VAB, back to 3D-PFI and ending up as 9Q-COD in 7.07. Stored at Lubumbashi, Congo, in potentially flyable condition but sadly scrapped 2011
