W/o on 18th May 2016 positioning from Camp Dwyer (Helmand province of Afghanistan) to Mary (Turkmenistan) when engine No. 3 failed during the take-off run. Aircraft overran runway end at 220kph, broke up and burnt out

Built 1972, transferred from Aeroflot-East Siberia to Baikalavia in 1994, Tesis in 2001 and Aerofreight in 2002 (retaining basis Tesis scheme). To Veteran in 2004 as UR-CCY. Offered for sale as scrap at Fujairah in June 2015

Delivered to Aeroflot as CCCP-11124 in 1972. Reregistered as RA-11124 around 1993. Transferred to Baikal Airlines in 1994 then to Aerofreight in in 2001. To Veteran as UR-CCY in 2004 and operated for the United Nations then to Aero Service in 2008. Stored at Fujairah by 2010. Still there in 2018.

A few operators later it was with Silk Way West Airlines as 4K-AZ25 when it overran the runway at high speed attempting to take off at FOB Dwyer, Afghanistan, 18 May 2016. The aircraft was destroyed.
