Sold in Australia as VH-BDT but after that the story came to a quick end. It flew a single freight charter to Singapore. The return flight was thwarted by overloading issues and defects. When it was finally permitted to leave, it did so empty. BDT's landing back at Sydney was its final one because owner Aircarriers had gone broke. Despite attempts to sell it, VH-BDT was scrapped in 1948. Photo from: State Library of New South Wales

Flown to Australia as G-AGXA, VH-BDT registered in June 1947. It flew Sydney to Singapore with 89 guard dogs on board and returned to home with a load of cargo. It never flew again and was withdrawn from use at Sydney airport in December 1947. It was later scrapped. The photo was taken on its way to Singapore. Name of photographer is not known.
