PK-RIM overran the runway and crashed at Medan-Polonia Airport due to improper take-off configuration.

Delivered new 11th Aug 1981 and became TF-ABY with Air Atlanta Iceland 29th Apr 1994 for short term lease to Tunisair. Then to Mandala as PK-RIM 24th Nov 1994

Ex TF-ABY, registered 24th Nov 1994. On the 5th Sep 2005 flight 091 WIMM-WIII failed to lift-off due to incorrect take-off settings (flaps/slats retracted) and overrun the runway, impacting the approach lights and travelling over a grass area and then crashing into several buildings, destroyed by fire.

Became PK-RIM and crashed at Medan, Indonesia on 5 September 2005 when it failed to become airborne on takeoff.

Note the radome has been taken from an airctraft painted in the later Lufthansa livery. This aircraft was W/O on 5th September 2005 near Medan, Indonesia, operating for Mandala Airlines as PK-RIM.
