A closer look at the nose art. The full text (all caps) reads: Captain Dickinson; Ed Force Three; C-47 RAF KG330; No. 512 Squadron; D-day June 6th 1944. Iron Maiden member Bruce Dickinson visited Buffalo and felt WZS deserved a name, having such a history. He decided on 'Ed Force Three' after the band's tourplane, that is in turn named after their mascot Eddie.
