slide taken by Norbert Kröpfl. - Hercules c/n 4458 saw military service with the Imperial Iranian Air Force and later with the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force after the revolution in 1979, already re-registered as 5-8533. It has not been seen since decades, and rumours say that the aircraft could have been one of those destroyed during an Iraqi bomb raid at Shiraz in 1986. Without confirmation of this, however, its fate should be described as unknown.
