Built 1942 for USAAF as 42-15558. April 9th 1946 LN-IAK DNL named "Norkyn". Ocotober 1948 LN-IAK entered SAS as "Knut Viking". In July 1954 rr to SE-BSM. December 1957 SE-BSM Linjeflyg until June 1965 when taken over by Svensk Flygtjãnst and converted for calibration of ILS equipment on Swedish airports, hence the titles of Luftafrtsverket on the fuselage. in 1975 svensk Flytjänst and Crownair merged to become Swedair. Late 1998 sold to a private German for use as a veteran airliner. May 1990 D-CCCC for Classic Wings, until it sadly crashed near Heidelberg December 22nd 1991.

Delivered to the USAAF as C-53 42-15558. To the Norwegian Air Force as 215558 in 1945, To LN-IAK in 1946, SE-BSM in 1954 and Classic Wings as D-CCCC in 1988. Crashed near Heidelberg, Germany in 1991.

This Dakota crashed on 22 December 1991 near Heidelberg. 28 of the 32 occupants lost their lives.

This C-53-DO, built at Santa Monica in September 1942, served DNL, SAS and Linjeflyg postwar and then Swedair from February 1965 until September 1988. Seen on Bromma's frozen apron in March 1968.
