Delivered to Trans Canada Airlines in April 1958, Air Canada would retire this Viscount in 1973. Among many of the ex- Air Canada Viscounts, it would be bought up by Broker United Aircraft Services and Beaver Enterprises. One of a few that flew again, it was sold to Zaire Aero Service, got a new registration 9Q-CPJ and a wing spar change in 1978. Withdrawn again in 1984, it was stored at N'dolo, Zaire in March and broken up in September.
