Operated by Marshall Airways as a private ambulance service taking medical specialists from Sydney to rural New South Wales and bringing patients to Sydney. The service continued until VH-UVL was impressed by the Australian air force in 1942 as A41-2. It was broken up the following year. The fuselage survived and was restored over the 1990s, flying again in 2000.

This very rare Fox Moth was originally built in 1932 & registered G-ABXS. Sold to Australia in 1935 for MMA and registered VH-UVL on 6 Sept. Used on their Flying Doctor contract and also on scheduled services. Impressed by the RAAF in 1942 as A41-2. Used in New Guinea but 'scrapped' in 1943. Under rebuild from the 1990s to 2017 and re-registered as VH-UVL on 27 July 2000.

This VH-UVL has been given the same constructor's number as the original Fox Moth VH-UVL. That aircraft was impressed into the RAAF during World War II and scrapped in New Guinea in 1943. The new VH-UVL uses a fuselage made in New Zealand in the 1990s but has been registered as c/n 4015.

Registered in 2000. Despite the c/n this is not the same aircraft as the original DH83 VH-UVL c/n 4015 which was impressed by the RAAF in 1942 and later scrapped. The fuselage of this aircraft was built in New Zealand in the 1990s.
