This and its cousin MiG-15, VH-REH, were at Adelaide Airport for a time in late 1999 as a joy flight venture. Due to various issues the venture never came to fruition and both aircraft left Adelaide to be stored elsewhere. Photos of each from 2009 show they were at Bathurst, NSW at that time in a very different livery.

VH-EKI was damaged by a storm in December 1987.

This ex-Polish Air Force aircraft was imported into Australia and stored at Bankstown from 1993 to 1995. Registered VH-EKI on 4 April 1995, it made its first post-restoration flight the following year on 17 November 1996. It was operated on warbird adventure flights for some years and damaged on landing at Camden on 28 December 1997. Repaired, it flew on until at least 2005 before being 'retired' to Bathurst, along with sister-ship VH-REH. It certainly looks a bit tattier these days than it used to!
