When VH-AVS arrived in Australia it was fitted with the short "Apache" nose. By October 1963, it had been fitted with the enlarged baggage nose that been introduced with the Aztec B in 1961 and able to be retrofitted to earlier aircraft. VH-AVS reregistered VH-TGP in June 1964.

VH-AVS was one of several Aerostars used to deliver documents from Sydney to rural bank branches. The ability to safely remove satchels from the baggage locker of an Aerostar without shutting down the engines was an advantage in the quick turnarounds needed. In the late afternoon the aircraft retraced their route collecting the day's business papers.
