scan from the NK collection. - A Convair 640 was a rare sight in European skies, besides Martinair with two aircraft only SATA of Switzerland operated one. This aircraft here started as HB-IMC with Swissair and was converted with Dart engines for Martinair in 1967. 50 years later, it was still active and noted as XA-UNH with Aeronaves TSM, a Mexican cargo operator.

Delivered as a Convair 440 to Swissair as HB-IMC in June 1956. Bought by Martinair in October 1966 and converted to CV640 in February 1967. Sold as N640R in September 1971. Seen taxying away from Schiphol Oost.
