Buzzing Texel air show in 2007, this NATO AWACS was the first of eighteen E-3A's delivered to the North Atlantic Threaty Organization (in 1982) and is currently (November 2021) still operational as one of the fourteen left in the NATO fleet.

In special marks for the 50th Anniversary of NATO in 1999. Landing at Cottesmore on the Thursday to go into the static display at RIAT 2000.

USAF 79-0442 first flight 18-Dec-1980, to Luxembourg AF/NATO LX-N90442 delivered 22-Jan-1982. It has a special colour scheme to commemorate 50 years of NATO, and below the cockpit it carries the NAEWF badge. It was a long wait at the end of the Open Day before it could be photographed without people in front, as the aircraft was parked right at the gate, and was also used as a walk-through exhibit.
