In May 1983, Dan Air was the first airline to introduce the BAe-146 into airline service (G-BKMN). This was their second aircraft delivered on June 2, 1983 and was in the fleet until September 1995. Sold to new airline PauknAir, it was operated by Panair Líneas Aéreas on their behalf. Unfortunately, the airliner crashed September 25, 1998 when it descended into the ground on approach to Spanish enclave Melilla, near Morroco. PauknAir ceased operations in November 1998.

Delivered new 18th June 1983 and became EC-969 with Pauknair 22nd Sep 1995, then re-registered EC-GEO 19th Dec 1995

This early 146 was delivered to Dan-Air in June 1983. It Joined PauknAir (Panair Líneas Aéreas) in September 1995 as EC-969 and then EC-GEO. Unfortuntalely the plane was w/o after it impacted the top of a mountain whilst on approach to Melilla in September 1998 with the loss of all 38 on board.

After service with Dan-Air, this early 146 was acquired by a small Spanish carrier, Paukn Air. On September 25th, 1998 it struck a mountain while on approach to Melilla, killing all 35 people on board.
