Preserved with the Lao People's Army Historical Museum in Vientiane is MiG-21bis (75A) 725. It was delivered to the Lao People's Army Air Force in 1977. In 1984, it was used by 702 brigade to patrol the border area in the Paklay district, where a conflict broke out with Thailand. In 1985, the aircraft participated in the 10th anniversary parade of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. In 1987, it was used to patrol the Botene district to patrol the area of Nabonoi. The type was retired from Lao service around 2000.

During a short stop in Laos I only had time for a night visit to the Army museum, that was obviously closed. Nowadays, they have sun sheds to shelter the exhibits.

Romania was the partner nation for NATO Days 2019. The Șoim (Hawk) is a Romanian advanced trainer and light attack aircraft capable of performing close air support and reconnaissance missions. The type replaced the Aero L-29 Delfin and Aero L-39 Albatros as the jet trainer for the Romanian Air Force. '725' is pictured here on a long, low take-off from rw04 to open the flying display on the second day of this show.
