Built by VEB Flugzeugwerke at Dresden in 1959. Ex 023 (Polish AF), SP-LNO (2) (LOT) and 041 (Polish AF). Converted to photo survey aircraft in the mid 1970s and was re-serialled 3065 in 1982. Operated by 13 PLT at Balice it became one of the last operational Il-14s with the Polish AF, being retired c1993 when the type was replaced by the Antonov 26. After a period of storage it was moved in 2004 for display at the Luftfahrt und Technik Museumspark at Merseburg and when that closed, it was re-located and displayed at the "Euronova Campus" at Hürth in 2021.

Just a few weeks before, this helicopter had been delivered to the Dominican Republic and is yet devoid of any national markings. It was delivered as FAD-3053, but as not to duplicate serials of operational helicopters, FAD-3053 had been allocated to a Bell 206A-1, it was reregistered to FAD-3065. Unfortunately, these camouflage colours were also shortlived, and the helicopter was seen in dull grey since.

After the Luftfahrt- und Technik-Museumspark at Merseburg has closed this VEB built Il-14 was brought to Hürth near Cologne in summer 2021. Now she is displayed on the "Euronova Campus", an area where office space can be rented by freelancers or start-ups.

When we visited 13 PLT at Cracow-Balice op 9 June 1991, there were two remaining IL-14s still operational, one of which was this 3065 (the other was 3067). A third one (3073) was preserved.

Built by VEB Flugzeugwerke Dresden in 1959, this aircraft served in the Polish air force for 36 years, making its last flight in 1995.

TG31 aircraft

Beautiful UH-1H during its landing at the huge San Isidro base. Eight UH-1H-II, named Super Huey II, were delivered during 2004 to the Fuerza Aérea Dominicana.

This Il-14 served with the Polish air force, but it was built here in Eastern Germany at VEB Flugzeugwerke Dresden.
