Originally delivered to Trans International Airlines June 16, 1967, Nordair owned this DC-8 from October 1974 to December 1978. After Nordair, it was all cargo work for this airplane . It was upgraded to a 71 series in 1985.

First flown by Trans International as N8962T when new in 11.67 and later by Universal, Seaboard, Loftleidir, Flying Tigers and Transamerica before a period of lease took her back to TIA.
