One of the 737-200s operated at the time in Alaska by the joint aviation departments of Conoco Phillips and BP Exploration. The aircraft were fitted with gravel kits, consisting of a gravel deflector on the nosewheel and a vortex dissipator extending out from under the air intake of each engine.

Acquired by this little-known company in Apr 2005, and served with them until sold to Air Vanuatu as YJ-AV11 in Nov 2013.

It's a bit odd to see this nicely-coloured aircraft in Alaska, about 3,800 km from home. West Creek Ranch was the huge ranch of John Hendricks, the founder of The Discovery Channel, and it was situated southwest of Gateway in Colorado. Mr. Hendricks sold it in 2017.

This 1945-built Widgeon was converted to Super Widgeon by McKinnon in 1958. Among other improvements, Super Widgeons have more powerful Lycoming GO-480 engines with 3-bladed props, a strengthened hull and landing gear and larger passenger windows. It is seen here undergoing restoration following a mishap in Dec 1993 on Lake Griffin near Leesburg, FL. Restoration was finished in 2009, but it almost immediately suffered another accident, when on 4 Aug 2009 it struck a log on Hewitt Lake near Talkeetna, AK. The aircraft was again recovered and repaired, and it was still flying happily by 2018.

This was once a regular tail-dragging twin-tail Beech 18 (C-45G 51-11851), but in 1969 it was converted into this very different-looking PAC Tradewind, with a single fin and a nose gear. Stored at Merrill Field since the early 2000s, and starting circa 2010 it was slowly being stripped of parts. It was still there by early 2018, but by then in pityful condition, laying on its tail.

Was initially in full Aeroflot colours, but unfortunately these were painted over a few years later, resulting in this boring appearance without registration. It stayed in this very same spot until Sep 2012, when it was dismantled and trucked out for restoration to flying condition elsewhere. Current status of the project is unknown.
