Fairchild M-62A Cornell built in 1944 to PT-23 standard but wearing pre-1942 US military style markings.

Preserved in the Travis Air Museum.

A small Wings & Wheels event at Hoogeveen provided an opportunity to see a couple of local warbirds that don't venture out much, including this beautifully restored Cornell trainer.

USAF 43-36487, to RAF FZ708 but not delivered, to Norwegian AF 261 taken on charge Jun-1944, struck off charge Mar-1957 becoming an instructional airframe at the Luftforsvarets Tekniske Skole at Kjevik, later to the Norsk Luftfartsmuseum in Bodø painted as 163 to commemorate the real 163 as flown at the Little Norway flying school in Canada 1944-45.

Fleet Aircraft built Cornell Mk. II was taken on strength by the RCAF in September 1944 (FV724). In 1947 it was released to the Royal Canadian Flying Club Association and registered CF-CVE.

PT-19 Cornell primary trainer license-built in Brazil and fitted with radial engine.

I have never properly identified this aircraft. The name could also be Carrie.
