This is the original IDS airframe that was converted to ECR in 2000. It was assigned to the 155 Gruppo / 50 Stormo in Piacenza before the conversion and returned to 50 Stormo in 2001 without guns as a full ECR airframe.

This aircraft wear the original unit's codes 36-37, assigned at the delivery on 24th March 1984. Later becoming 36-36 in the '90s, after a short assignment to 6th Stormo as 6-02. As an original IDS airframe it is equipped with the two 27 mm Mauser guns, that were removed when the aircraft was upgraded and modified as a full ECR airframe.

This Italian Tornado was built as an IDS variant (c/n IS018, but was modified to Electronic Combat and Reconnaissance (ECR) in 1993.

This MBB built Tornado ECR made ist first flight on 5 March 1990, the aircraft was eventually scrapped at Jever in 2013.

A Tornado from the first batch delivered to the Luftwaffe. First flow on 26 June 1980 and delivered to the Luftwaffe on 1 September 1980. It was assigned to the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment (TTTE) which was a multinational (UK, Germany and Italy) air unit based at RAF Cottesmore (UK). The Tornado flew here up to late 1992. It returned to Germany and was last seen operational by late 2009. It's current status is unknown.

First flow on 8 February 1982 and delivered to the Marineflieger (German Naval Aviation) on 27 April 1982. It was first assigned to the Test Gruppe 11, but soon after to Marinefliegergeschwader 1. In 1995, after MFG 1 was disbaded, the aircraft was transferred to the Luftwaffe and assigned to test unit Wehrtechnische Dienststelle (WDT) 61. It then continued service with the Luftwaffe and was last seen operational in late 2020 with Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader (TLG) 51 "Immelmann".

This Italian Tornado was built as an IDS variant (c/n IS019, but was modified to Electronic Combat and Reconnaissance (ECR) in 1993. The differences with the IDS version is an improved engine, and a color digital moving map, an improved HUD with symbols generator, a Forward Looking Infra-Red for night navigation and an Emitter Locator System. Externally the ECR version is easily recognizable because the internal guns were removed. Near the gear door the FLIR can be seen.

First flown at 14 September 1980, delivered to the Luftwaffe on 17 December 1980. It was the assigned to the Tri-National Tornado Training Establishment (TTTE) which was a multinational (UK, Germany and Italy) air unit based at RAF Cottesmore (UK). It returned to Germany in 1993 and was withdrawn from use in 2011. It went into storage at by April of that year. The aircraft is most probably scrapped in 2012.

This MBB built Tornado flew first on 24 Feb'89 and was delivered to the Marineflieger (Germany Naval Aviation) on 27 Apr'89. It started to fly with Marinefliegergeschwader (MFG) 2. It carried a special colour scheme from '02-'05 and was transferred to the Luftwaffe in '05 when MFG 2 was disbanded. It was assigned to Aufklärungsgeschwader 51 that later was redesignated into Taktisches Luftwaffengeschwader 51. Here the Tornado is seen with secondary markings (on the intake) from its deployment to Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan (between '07-'10). Check the massive recce pod underneath the fuselage

This MBB built Tornado ECR made its first flight on 26 January 1990. The airframe was scrapped at Jever by late March 2011.
