F-5F with Tactical Air completing it's afternoon sortie

K-3016 is seen here air-to-air, photo taken from another NF-5. Photo via Paul vd Elsaker. This aircraft was delivered to the Turkish Air Force in November 1990.

K-3030 was operated by 316 Sqn from 1973 until 1978. In 1978 the aircraft moved to Twenthe.

This photo was taken one day after K-3071 suffered a mishap at Gilze-Rijen Air Base. A tire burst upon take-off which caused the aircraft the overrun the runway and end up in a field. The aircraft was written off and subsequently used as a GIA at Gilze-Rijen carrying the fake serial "NAC-7". The remains were scrapped in 1998.

K-3071 seen here shortly after delivery to 316 Sqn at Gilze-Rijen in 1972, carrying the old style 316 Sqn badge. One year later, on 2 October 1973, the aircraft crashed in a field just off Gilze-Rijen's runway 10 after a tire had burst upon take off.

K-3053 was operated by 315 Sqn from 1971 until 1976. In that year it went to 313 Sqn. The aircraft was lost on 1 June 1981 near Schöppingen in Germany.

K-3049 was operated by 316 Sqn from 1971 until early 1975. In 1975 it went to 314 Sqn. It was delivered to the Turkish Air Force in 1990. The aircraft is seen here carrying the old style 316 Sqn badge, with the bird in a different position.

K-3029 crashed on 11 July 1975 near Ramstein after suffering a bird strike upon take-off from Ramstein. The aircraft was written off and was later used as a GIA at Twenthe AB wearing fake serial TPG-29.

K-3006 is seen here wearing 315 Sqn badge. It later went to 313 Sqn and crashed near Lemselo, on approach to Twenthe AB on 13 September 1978. The aircraft was written off on that date.

K-3009 is seen here shortly after delivery to 315 Sqn. The aircraft later went to 313 Sqn and was lost on 1 November 1974 when it crashed in a field south of Akkrum in the Netherlands, following a mid-air collision with K-4001. K-4001 landed safely at Leeuwarden Air Base.

Four F-5As from 332 Skv at Rygge attended the event accompanied by a C-119G from 335 Skv at Gardermoen.

This NF-5B just entered the Vliegend Uit Dienst (VUD, Fly Away from Service), also reported as Vervroegd Uit Dienst (Early Retirement from Service), section at Gilze Rijen. It already received the round red cirkel in which the VUD badge should be painted. K-4010 was kept in flyable storage after its operational career with the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Force) before it was sold and flown over to Venezuela as 6292 on 27 January 1993. Because of the fyable storage, the NF-5A/Bs with the VUD markings were sometimes seen outside at the cross servicing platform of Gilze Rijen.

This 19 June 1970 delivered NF-5A was part of the Vliegend Uit Dienst (VUD, Fly Away from Service), also reported as Vervroegd Uit Dienst (Early Retirement from Service), section at Gilze Rijen. K-3012 was kept in flyable storage after its operational career with the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Force) before it was sold and flown over to Greece as 3012 on 11 April 1991. It Freedom Fighter is here seen in the hangar next to the cross servicing platform of Gilze Rijen.

This NF-5B just entered the Vliegend Uit Dienst (VUD, Fly Away from Service), also reported as Vervroegd Uit Dienst (Early Retirement from Service), section at Gilze Rijen. It still carried the unit markings of its last operational owner, 315sq. K-4030 was kept in flyable storage after its operational career with the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Force) before it was sold and flown over to Venezuela as 6372 on 2 March 1993. Because of the fyable storage, the NF-5A/Bs with the VUD markings were sometimes seen outside at the cross servicing platform of Gilze Rijen.

Delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Forced) on 17 October 1970, this NF-5A was withdrawn from use in 1986. It was kept in a flyable storage for possible sale but was eventually stored and became an instructional airframe at the Anthony Fokker School in The Hague in the early 90s. It then moved to the National Aviation College in Hoofddorp in the mid-90s. After the NF-5 became useless, it was transported to the National Military Museum at Soesterberg for preservation from early 2019. Of notice on this picture is the grey (new?) wing attached the camouflaged fuselage.

Vliegend Uit Dienst (Fly Away from Service), also reported as Vervroegd Uit Dienst (Early Retirement from Serrvice), this K-3035 was kept in flyable storage after its operational career with the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Force) before it was sold and flown over to Türkiye as 3035 on 20 December 1991. Because of the fyable storage, the NF-5A/Bs with the VUD markings were sometimes seen outside.
