This Merlin-powered North Star, seen being serviced at Heathrow North, served TCA from April 1948 until November 1961, initially on Transatlantic routes and later within North America.

Royal Canadian Air Force C-54GM North Star of the Experimental & Proving Establishment parked in the uncompleted central area of Heathrow in 1954. It is fitted with an observation position on the forward upper fuselage. Delivered in February 1948 and lost in a hangar fire at Montreal's Dorval airport on 19 March 1956.

This Canadair Four served BOAC from July 1949 until April 1960. After a brief period with Overseas, it flew for British Midland from October 1961 until crashing in Stockport on approach to Ringway on 4 June 1967. It is seen operating a holiday flight to Ostend.
