The M6A1 Seiran was designed to emerge from large I-400 class submarines to bomb the locks in the Panama Canal. It never happened. This one received US Navy tail number 47 after capture. Note the Nakajima Kikka jet fighter, inspired by the Me 262, in the background.

This is the aircraft in which John Alcock and Arthur Whitten Brown made the first non-stop crossing of the Atlantic on 14-15 June 1919. Rebuilt by Vickers at Brooklands it was presented to the Science Museum in 1919 and has been displayed at South Kensington since.

This was the prototype of the first Swiss built jet aircraft though it never went into production and it was the sole example built. It first flew in November 1951 and is seen in the Swiss Transport Museum

Seen in the microlight area at Sun 'n Fun was this ultralight motor glider. It is battery powered, capable of self launch and neither needs to be registered nor a pilot's licence !
