Rare photo of NF-5B K-4021 operated by 314sqn. This winter paint scheme was applied during an exercise at Bodø and was removed almost immediately after return to the Netherlands.

This NF-5B just entered the Vliegend Uit Dienst (VUD, Fly Away from Service), also reported as Vervroegd Uit Dienst (Early Retirement from Service), section at Gilze Rijen. It already received the round red cirkel in which the VUD badge should be painted. K-4010 was kept in flyable storage after its operational career with the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (Royal Netherlands Air Force) before it was sold and flown over to Venezuela as 6292 on 27 January 1993. Because of the fyable storage, the NF-5A/Bs with the VUD markings were sometimes seen outside at the cross servicing platform of Gilze Rijen.

No badge, one of the final departures of the NF-5 from Twente air base after nineteen years of Freedom Fighter operations. The dual seat aircraft was sold to Turkey as 4026 and departed for southern Europe on 31 May 1990

This NF-5B was retired and sold to Turkey as 4020 on 4 April 1991

K-4002 was delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) as the very first NF-5 for the KLu. The ceremony took place on 7 October 1969. The dual seater went into storage at Woensdrecht on 24 May 1988. The aircraft was sold to Venezuala as 1721 and delivered as such on 16 September 1992.

This a/c was eventually transferred to the Turkish Air Force.

Delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 8 July 1971. Was immediately assigned to 313sq at Twente air base. It was repainted in a boring grey scheme in November 1987 and was transferred to 316sq at Gilze Rijen air base in June 1988. K-4016 received, as the final Dutch Freedom Fighter, an large overhaul in November 1990. It was sold as 71-4016 to Türkiye on 21 January 1991. After an operational career with 132 and 133 Filo, it served Turk Yildizlari, the Turkish display team. It is preserved at Pinerbasi air base since August 2018.

One of six ex Dutch NF-5Bs delivered to Venezuela in 1992/93. Withdrawn and stored at El Libertador by 2002.
