One of the first F-16s of the 194th Fighter Interceptor Squadron "Griffins" in full "colour". The Iraqi air Force used the 162nd Fighter Wing for F-16 conversion training. Iraq bought 36 F-16Cs, of which 28 F-16Cs eight F-16Ds. The Vipers are often designated IQ, that's the variant Iraq bought. These are Block 52s, but the many avionics and systems of these Blocks are downgraded. The IQs can not operate (yet) with sophisticated weapons, like precision guided weapons, that are normally used with the Block numbers.
