The Jetstream first prototype. It was converted to a Srs. 200 in January 1970, and withdrawn from use at Filton in February 1970 following the demise of Handley Page. It was broken up in October 1972 and the fuselage moved to Scottish Aviation at Prestwick. This was later scrapped, a small section of the cockpit being saved and preserved at Aeroventure, Doncaster. (The DH.125 just visible inside the hangar was the first production aircraft G-ARYC operated by Rolls-Royce, now preserved at the Mosquito Museum at London Colney.)

First flight of this original Jetstream was in June 1969 as G-AXHJ. Later she was registered to N12217 and flew for several US commuter carriers till she returned to Europe in 1988. Her last years she was active for NewAir as OY-CRR. First flight of this original Jetstream was in June 1969 as G-AXHJ. Later she was registered to N12217 and flew for several US commuter carriers till she returned to Europe in 1988. Her last years she was active for NewAir as OY-CRR.
