This aircraft was flipped over in windstorm whilst moored at Rose Bay on 12-08-2019. The dismantled airframe was exported to Canada and was last noted stored at Campbell River, BC., in January 2020. However, the registration C-GSBN was allocated to it on 30 November 2023 so hopefully a restoration is planned. The registration VH-AAM is now carried by a Tecnam P-2008. (With thanks to DHC-2.com).

The marks VH-UMV were cancelled in April 2003 and the aircraft was re-registered VH-LFB, but it appears that this was never applied to the airframe. Obviously not airworthy when photographed, it was damaged beyond repair when it was blown over by high winds at a later date. Hoxton Park was closed in December 2008, but the aircraft's aft fuselage and the mangled remains of the wings were noted behind hangars at Katoomba Airfield, NSW., in January 2010.

Remaining in civil hands throughout the Second World War, it was re-registered N18028 in 1949 following changes to the US registration system. Badly damaged in an accident in November 1959, the aircraft changed hands several times until restored, with a new CofA issued on 16 May 1986 though painted with its original registration 'NC18028'. Acquired by Paul McConnell in 1990 and delivered by air to the UK, where it resided until 2023 when it was shipped to Australia.

Bedded down for the night... Since last I saw it, this lovely Swift has been re-painted with its original British registration, though it still carries its correct Australian registration in small letters under the tailplane. Built in 1932 as one of 3 Gipsy-powered racers and registered G-ABWH. Raced in the 1932 King's Cup air race. Shipped to the USA in 1933 where it raced at Cleveland as NC27K. Returned to the UK in 1934, then to Australia and registered VH-ACG on 19 July 1939. Rebuilt over 16 years 1971-87 by Doug Muir in Perth. Now with Roy Fox in Sydney.

One of the first of the operational ex-RAAF PC-9As to come on the civil Register, appropriately enough as VH-T63, on 2 September 2024. This aircraft spent most of its air force life with the Central Flying School at RAAF East Sale and still wears its original Roulettes colour scheme, together with the special '100 years of CFS' banner applied in 2014.
