Marshall's DC-2 VH-CDZ and Short Scion VH-UUP in the background. Neither of these were registered at the time. -AQU remained in use until about 1966 and was finally cancelled in 1970. After the death of Sid Marshall it was sold and restored. Currently in the UK as G-ECAN. The other two have been subject to unfinished restoration projects, -UUP more recently in the UK.

Bankstown-based Marshall Airways had a fleet of vintage aircraft for joy flights and charter.

What a better way to see Sydney Harbour then from such vintage plane! They are based in Rose Bay, a short trip by ferry from the Wharf.

VH-AQU outside the old Marshall Airways hangar. Sid Marshall operated it from 1949 until it was withdrawn from use in 1970. After Marshall's death, it was sold to a collector and made airworthy again by Marshall's former business partner, Jack Davidson and later became G-ECAN

Built at Bankstown in Australia in 1943 and registered to the RAAF as A34-59. Later it entered the Australian civil register as VH-AQU.

Later it entered the Australian civil register as VH-AQU and reregistered as VH-DHX it has seen a few livery changes including a Coco Cola colour livery for an advertisement. Depicted here in 1988 going through a restoration at Bankstown in Sydney. It was sold to the UK in 2001.

Ex RAAF, VH-AQU was first registered in 1946. It was on and off the register over the next 40 years before being reregistered VH-DHX in 1986.
