Two Towers - Melbourne's original Control Tower, built in the 1960s, is dwarfed by the new Tower being built alongside it. The new Tower will eventually be 78m high and provide a sufficient view to accommodate the airport's future expansion - particularly a new north-south runway to the west of the Tower. We're now up to the supporting structure for the cab and you can really see just how big the new Tower will be.

Just to confuse matters, this is the second Pel-Air Metro to be registered VH-EEQ! This one was built in 1985 and registered N3119B to Wings West Airlines. In 1990 they re-registered it N347AE. In 1993 it was exported to Australia, being registered VH-SST on 5 April. It was re-registered VH-EEQ by Pel-Air in January 2002.

General overview of the parking area at this private aerodrome with Moloney Aviation's Cessna 172 VH-TMT in the centre. The clubroom at the left is occupied by AirSports Australia, the ultralight flying school, whilst the office on the right belongs to Moloney. A Jabiru rests in the hangar at right, which carries the name of the nearest town, "Sunbury", on the roof (the other side has "Penfield").
