This 1941-built Dragon Rapide served the small Manchester-based charter airline Airviews Ltd from September 1951 until March 1957 and was then sold as F-OAXK. The 1938 Terminal is visible at the right.

Operated by Sky Neon in the aerial advertising role with neon tubes visible underwing displaying the name of a well known brand of cigarettes. Flew at low altitude over football matches etc. G-AHKV stands in front of Ringway's 1938-built combined terminal, control tower and hangar which was demolished in 1961 to make way for today's Terminal 1.

VH-BGP was imported from New Zealand in 1975. It had been ZK-BCP. It remained on the Australian register in 2017.

Built for the RAF in 1939 as R5922 this DH.89, like many, was civilianised post-war as G-AKNV for Lancashire Aircraft Corporation, then to Eire as EI-AGK, returning to UK registry with Derby Avn in 1955 but same year to Avions Fairey as OO-AFG. After mods, Air Affairs became owners in 1962; next registered OO-CNP with Centre National de Parachutisme, she flew till a forced landing in 1970 and storage at Wevelgem. Donated to the Brussels museum in 1973, she has just emerged from an immaculate restoration
